Sounds like you have ultra high expectations; even after being bitterly disappointed numerous times. I imagine the other extreme where someone gets past the first meeting and gets to the dating phase only to find out their date is crazy, codependent, or some other deficiency. You probably had this also. Anyways, I go into every first meeting with low expectations so that there's nothing to loose. Take comfort in knowing you have no other choice and let go of any emotional attachment you have made from emailing or talking to the person on the other line. I had sex with a brazilian girl in New York City, saw them a few times, then never heard from them again. I workout every day, am 33, only 5'9", and have a decent profession. I knew that somehow this relationship wasn't going to last due to the deception of internet dating - "there's always something better around the next corner." Not suprisingly, it didn't. The only people that find anything on the inernet are the ones that have no expectation, trust me. I apparently had some and am still suffering. So in conclusing, to everybody, on your next date "the glass if half empty" people!! (lol)
